Nancy Padron

I was awarded a Masters of Science (M.S.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Western Carolina University in May 2018.  I currently hold a License Clinical Mental Health Counselors license (license number 14169) by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors.  I have 2.5 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families within Intensive In-Home Services and Therapeutic Foster care.  Common issues for the clients I worked with are related to, but not limited to, attachment difficulties, developmental and psychosocial concerns, family dynamics, identity development, behavioral issues, as well as general difficulties related to anxiety, mood, depression, oppositional defiant behaviors, post-traumatic stress, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder disorders.  I can also assist you with a variety of other mental health concerns.

I offer a client centered approach and believe that the client is the expert on themselves. My intention is to walk alongside you in your therapeutic journey. I meet you where you are, in the here and now, allowing you to experience presence, and acceptance, as you expand your way of being to embody inner peace, balance, and empowerment. I often utilize a holistic approach with clients, working on the mind and body connection.  Through the journey, I incorporate other approaches that best fit the client.  The approaches I may use are Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Existential.  Regardless of the approach, I will help clients identify goals, obstacles, and ways to meet his/her goals and overcome obstacles.
